Albert Reed's Sea Battle

Good news, friends! A generous benefactor has offered to cover the costs of making this game for at least a year and probably much longer, so Sea Battle lives on!

In terms of App Store / Google Play availability, the iOS app is back on the App Store, but it's not on Google Play because it doesn't meets Google's latest requirements. As we mentioned previously, existing Android players can always re-download the app even though it's no longer listed.

We may have more news about this in the coming year, so stay tuned and happy sea battle-ing!

UPDATE:

Hello players! We have some updates on the future of Sea Battle:

1. The generous benefactor of which we spoke in our previous post is Albert Reed, a long time Sea Battle player and among the earliest testers of the game. Al is not only inheriting the game from us and continuing to operate it, but he's also a game developer and is looking at the possibility of continuing to improve it (more on that below).

2. Al has updated the game to meet google's latest requirements and the Android version of the game is now back on Google Play (thank Al!)

3. Al has set up an official discord server to discuss the game and its future.  He is in the early stages of researching how to update the game with bug fixes, balance updates, and new features. He needs your help in identifying and prioritizing everything and looks forward to hearing your thoughts in discord.

Hello - I’m Albert Reed, Sea Battle's new caretaker. If that name is strangely familiar, that's because for a couple of years, I’ve been working on a game that is heavily inspired by Sea Battle and when I heard it was being closed down I begged the creators to let me keep it going.

I can’t say for sure what will be possible with my limited resources but I expect to keep the game going for many years to come.
